My 100 mile ride home turned into about 220 miles. Beautiful weather and decent roads. I came across this old church
It was falling down and in general disrepair. There really is no way to tell what happened to it. There was a huge part of the war here but who knows exactly.
Usually with these churches they are locked up so nobody can get inside and hurt themsleves. It was really cool this one was open, for the most part.
The next church I came to was this one
This was the one I was looking for. It was a building that was fought over in the war. On the back side is a river and steep embankment.
You can see in the center of the picture some damage that was just patched enough to keep the elements from getting in.
This is the same area just from the outside.
After this church I was headed home. About 15 miles of dirt road and I was back to pavement and on the way home. All in all a good day got to see some new stuff and enjoy the weather.
