Next day woke up hoping to get my exhaust fixed. I had a couple starting points from one of my friends here and a couple places I found online.
I started with the closest one first. I got there and nobody was in the shop..... I saw someone nearby taking out trash so asked him and he said he could weld it!
Here was the area it looked like some old garages or storage area
His Garage
We talked for a bit and decided 30 Euro seemed a decent price. I should take the heat wrap off he will weld the front then I will take the exhaust off and he will weld the back.
Heat wrap removed, battery unhooked and ECU taken out just for shits and giggles
He welded the front together and I went to take the exhaust off. No problems until the last bolt holding the back flange on.... It wouldnt move! DAMNNNNNNNNN I asked if he had a torch, no....
SO I put the other bolts back on and started the bike hoping that the heat from the bike running would loosen the bolt.
No Go........
Tried again and again until finally it broke..... ugh
Well we can weld the exhaust now!
He had a drill and a set of bits so I drilled the bolt out and dradually worked my up the bit size. Then he loaned me a tap and I was able to get the rest of the bolt out with that and clean up the threads.
I got the exhaust put back on and the job I thought would take about 30-45 minutes took almost 3 hours.... I felt bad because he helped alot and leant me his tools. I gave him 50 euros and when he went to get change I told him just keep it. Your time is money and you spent almost 3 hours of it on me.
The finished product
He said well then lets take it back off and I will grind the weld down then....
NOWAY!!!! it looks great. Just another battle scar and story to go along with it. Besides look at the bike you really think I care what it looks like....
He smiled shook my hand and we parted ways.
