Kaminsky Podolisk and A Waterfall

I was a little slow waking up... Alas I was on the way to Kaminsy Podilsk. The weather was hit and miss all day, rather chilly with a side of rain occasionally.

I arrived no issues to Kaminsky Podilsk the view as I arrived was pretty cool!

First things first I stopped at the castle, its what the town is known for.

I trudged around the inside of the castle for an hour or so. It was interesting I just wasnt in the mood.

You could walk through some tunnels and in the walls of the castle

I went into town looking for lunch. It was the strangest thing I stopped at a few restaurants and they all had signs saying closed for technical break... It was noon! After putting around the city center I decided to keep going but I needed gas. I stopped at a few gas stations on the way out of town. All closed for a technical break! Finally found one open got some gas and a candy bar then left.

A little further down the road I saw an old fallen down castle so stopped to check it out.

An old man and young boy stopped to look at the bike. The old man spoke Russian so we talked for a while. I asked if his grandson spoke Russian. "He said I dont know this kid :) He isn't my grandson but my grand daughter doesnt speak any. They study Ukrainian and English now in school. We are in a nationalist period now. Just wait I am 85 I have seen many of these nationalist periods. They come and go give it a few years it will be back to the same old thing."

I continued on then stopped in this town to buy a bolt with a 19mm head on it, incase I needed to take my front tire off again 

I was headed for a waterfall that was supposed to be near by to camp. The GPS took me through some fields but the roads werent to bad.

Supposedly the waterfall is over there near that old Castle somewhere.

The road to the castle was interesting. switchbacks on a dirt road with huge ruts and rocks, unfortunately no photos of that. I got to the parking lot and walked to the waterfall.

The waterfall was cool and i could see cars down by it so I knew there was a road somewhere. I walked around looking for the road. I found it and scouted it back to the beginning. It would be interesting but doable to get down there, if it rained though I may never get out!

I made it down alright set up the tent and went to relax by the waterfall and read a book. I found this tree that was the perfect spot to sit.

A little later some cows showed up to tell me good night.
