The next day I woke up and started to head for the border with Slovakia. I had about 100 miles to go to get there. The map said the road was a good one.... It was horrible absolutely horrible I was trying to avoid everything but eventually I hit a pot hole, more like a god damned crater, going my MAX speed of like 40... It hurt so bad I had to stop.
This was about the max speed you should go on the road
At least the scenery was good
I was "inspecting" the bike while I was trying to catch my breath while laying on the ground... The whole bag on the back had shifted and one of the bungee straps holding my rain pants had some how come loose.... As I was putting that back on I noticed one of my spare fuel bottles looked funny. I get to looking and the metal strap that was holding it on had broken in the massive hit, honestly it probably was started and I hadnt noticed it but this finished it. So I got the tools out and tie wire and that baby has been as solid as a rock since!!!!
I got to the border after spending the whole morning going next to crawling speed. The Ukrainian side didnt want to let me leave. Thought it suspicious I had Russian plates and American Passport. So I got to unload all of my stuff so it could be inspected.... Got through and Slovakia was like ehhh looks great have fun!!!
Drove a bit further found a place to stay on the side of the road, on an old logging road, and made camp. Not many miles but it was sure exhausting!
