Woke up and headed out of the campground towards Bastogne.
We stopped at the Bastogne War museum. Very good museum. Did a good job of giving a good outline of the whole war from all of Europe to Japan.
It took about 2.5 hours to get through
Another WLA-42
I dont know what it was exactly but something hit this tank and peeled it open like a tin can.
I doubt there were survivors the inside was burnt to a crisp.
The other side where it exited....
Outside there was this memorial in the shape of a star.
On the inside of the memorial it told the story of the Battle of the Bulge.
From the top of the memorial
It was a good memorial and Museum. Afterwards it was raining but we got some lunch in Bastogne and then headed towards Luxemboug.
There was a little monument to Patton as we exited Bastogne
It rained then sun then clouds then sun then rain off and on the whole 80 km to Luxembourg. Our first stop was the American Cemetery there.
I think there was about 6000 people here
Patton was buried in the front of the cemetery overlooking his men
