Diesel House Museum in Copenhagen

Went to the Diesel House museum here in Copenhagen. WHAT A MUSEUM!!!! THey have a 1930's era diesel motor. They still start it occasionally to!

Probably one of my favorite museums I have seen on this trip.

This is a diesel from 1904

The main attraction

the generator in the foreground and the motor sticking up in the background

view from the top

A Piston!

Piston ring. The center one is out of a car and the outside one is from the newest biggest motors

A valve for one of the newer engines! I am 6'6" almost 2 meters tall

We were told at the Diesel Museum they were going to start the motor the next day at 2:00. We decided we had to stay around and see that!

Time to start!

Here is a video I made of the engine running

This was freaking amazing! I couldnt believe how quiet it was and yet you could feel the floor shaking. I have to say this was pretty close to the most memorable thing of the trip the definition of impressive!
