We left Bratislava and headed north. We left rather early hoping to beat the heat. We found this little castle on a hill and decided to check it out.
We climbed to the top and looked around. It appeared to be mostly newly done and had a radio antennae inside.
It was still early and and beginning to warm up so we headed off
Next stop was Sedlec. I had been here before but figured my father would be interested.
First we visited the huge cathedral.
It was mostly empty inside except a few things like this dead monk
We even got to walk around in the attic, which was cool!
All in all I was pleased with the Cathedral it wasn't open when I was here previously and worth the visit.
Next was the Ossuary
Long story short some monk brought back soil from Jerusalem and put in on the churches graveyard so then everyone and his dog wanted to be buried there, since it was sacred or something like that. Not to pass up the chance to charge for the burying eventually they started digging people up and moving them to make room for more.
t was pretty crazy we found a campsite after that and went swimming to try to beat the heat. We decided hell we wont put the rain fly on the tent since it isn't supposed to rain and just remain miserably hot..... Well at about 1 am I was up putting the rain fly on as a thunderstorm rolled in.
