Along the Dnepr, Kremenchuk, Ukraine

I woke up the next day and packed up everything. I didnt really have anything in mind I just headed south along the Dnepr. I had seen on google maps there was a big open pit mine up ahead so I thought to try and see that.

But first I had to get back to the main road. The back roads I was on were rough but could be worse

They were right on the waters edge so the scenery was nice

I kept going and passed through Kremenchuk. They had a nice WWII monument but it was currently being remodeled.

On this spot between 1941-43 The Fascist killed more than 97,000 Soviet Patriots

I kept going to the open pit mine

I found it but they wouldnt let me close enough to see into it

I kept going this time on the west side of the Dnepr. It was dreadfully hot. I saw this statue so decided to stop and check it out and drink some water.

There were thousands buried here from WWI and WWII

I kept going south towards Dnepropetrovsk, now renamed simply Dnepro.
